Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MintSoft ("we", "us") handles information in the Water Tracker app (the "App") for iOS and Android. The App has no accounts, and we do not run servers that store your hydration or profile data.

1. Information Stored Only on Your Device

The following information is stored only on your device and is never sent to us:

  • Water and drink logs (drink type, amount and time).
  • Profile details you choose to enter: weight, sex, age band, activity level, and wake and sleep times. All of these are optional.
  • Daily goals, achievements, streaks and streak freezes.
  • App settings such as units, reminders, theme and language.

2. Information Collected by Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, which may collect information from your device under their own privacy policies:

  • Google Firebase Analytics: app usage events, device information and app instance identifiers, used to understand how the App is used.
  • Google Firebase Crashlytics: crash reports and diagnostic data (such as device model, OS version and app state at the time of a crash), used to fix bugs.
  • Google Firebase Remote Config: used only to check the minimum supported app version.
  • Google AdMob: a banner ad on the Statistics screen, shown to non-Pro users after their first 3 days of use. AdMob may use device and advertising identifiers, IP address and ad interaction data.
  • RevenueCat: an anonymous app user ID and purchase receipts, used to verify and restore your Pro Lifetime purchase.
  • Apple App Store and Google Play: process your payment. We never receive your payment card details.

3. Advertising, Tracking and Your Choices

You control how your information is used for advertising:

  • On iOS, the App asks for permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency. Your advertising identifier (IDFA) is used only if you allow it.
  • In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the App asks for your consent through Google's User Messaging Platform before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > Privacy choices.
  • You can also reset your advertising identifier or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.
  • Pro users do not see ads.

4. How Information Is Used

Information is used only to:

  • Provide logging, goals, reminders, achievements, statistics and widgets on your device.
  • Find and fix crashes and improve the App.
  • Show ads to non-Pro users and measure their performance.
  • Verify and restore in-app purchases.
  • Ask you to update when your app version is no longer supported.

5. Reminders and Widgets

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No push server is involved. Home screen widgets read data stored on your device to show your progress.

6. Health Information

Your hydration logs and profile details are never sent to our servers or to third parties, and they are not used for advertising. The App does not connect to Apple HealthKit or Google Health Connect.

7. Data Export, Retention and Deletion

You stay in control of your data:

  • Export: you can export your logs as a CSV file from Settings. The file is shared through your device's share sheet only when you choose to, and you decide where it goes.
  • Deletion: deleting the App removes all data it stored on your device. Because we do not keep a copy, deleted data cannot be recovered.
  • Third-party data: information collected by the services in Section 2 is kept according to their own retention policies.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. Because we do not store your data on our servers, most requests concern the third-party services listed above. Contact us and we will help.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.

10. Security

Data stored on your device is protected by your device's own security features. Third-party services transmit data over encrypted connections.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post changes on this page and update the date above.
